New Mexico
the may put at $216cwt costs bout $3cwt. just sayin.

( the 216 level btw is bout 20 to 22cwt under the current may board of say 235 to 239cwt )

i think it's way early to be buying floors in feeder cattle.

tend to feel there's another $10 to $25cwt Up in the cash fat cattle ( over the next 60 days )...sooo that's going to carry feeders to some degree.

basically on your deal you have below basis cattle on some of em ( the steins ), on your weights it does not matter much...50,000 lbs is a load of feeders.

soooo instead of figuring a floor on 65 head of Par #1 steers weighing 850 ( xyz$ of gross floor protection ) one might figure it as 80 to 85 head of #1's and #1 1/2's. ( more pounds, but still xyz$ of gross floor protection ).
