...There you go, the addition of Butter Flavoured Crisco will make them chewier. Butter has water in it...Shortening doesn't...it effects the way they cook. I would hasten to add...Unsalted butter has less water in it (Remember they take the salt out so the butterfat content of the stick has to be a bit higher because there's less water absorbed by the salt).
