NE | Supa, Thanks for reply. You're probably very close on calf price but I wouldn't begin to sell pairs for that price. That is barely salvage price if it even is? By end of year those calves alone are worth $1000/hd, that only gives me $1350 for cow, she still has many years left in her, has been exposed to bulls for month so revenue generator for next year & beyond. Cull price alone is $1.20 -1.30....so on 1350# cow is close to $1700 just to die. I was thinking closer to $57 -$60K ? If I wouldn't happen to get that price...they'll stay and go another round for next fall, I'm not forced to sell. Good productive cows are very hard to find, then find one that her head isn't 7' high when she looks at you is another problem when buying unknown cows. Been there done all that, I'm at the age now I'm not going back for more of that excitement!
