| I have a 10' snow pusher. When it is loaded up with snow don't expect to turn your tractor, even with fwd. I think it is much faster than a loader bucket for a couple of reasons. When I clean the yard with a bucket I start pushing and 15' later I have snow dribbling over the sides. I have to make three trips across the yard to get rid of the windrows of snow. With the pusher I go probably 50' before it dribbles over the sides and it only takes one more short trip across the yard to clean up the windrows. The other thing that saves time is the fact that you don't have to dump the pusher like you do a bucket. You just drive up to the pile, lift and bounce it a little to get the snow off of the pusher.
I should add that a loader with hydraulic self leveling like my skid loader, it's a pain because you have to relevel the pusher every time. My tractor loader doesn't have self leveling so I never have to mess with the bucket tilt. Mechanical self leveling might be ok , but the hydraulic type on the skid loader only levels on the way up but not on the way down.
