Subject: Loader bucket vs. snow pusher

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
I've got a JD 7130 with a 741 loader W/8' snow bucket. I widen all my tires out to 90" OC this spring to match my sprayer. As a result my tires stick out past my bucket. I haven't pushed any snow with this setup yet as we haven't had enough snow yet. I know it will work as is but am thinking of buying a snow pusher as an option for the loader.

I'm curious with you guys that use snow pushers do you like them better then just a loader bucket? I've talked to guys that use them on skid loaders and they really like them. I looked at one at the Spencer Fair that is made not to far from me. It was an 8 footer but he said he makes an 10' & 12' model also. I would go with the 10' if I did get one. Not 100% sure on specs but I was thinking it would have a 39.5" back with 36"-37" sides. You can put either solid adjustable 2-5' steel reversible cutting edge or a rubber edge. He recommended the steel because if you use the rubber if you push snow when it's wet and leave tracks they will freeze and those humps are hard on the rubber, which makes sense.

I thought the cost was very reasonable $1,400 with whatever style brackets mounted to it. He said for I thought was $225-250 he could make an additional brackets so it could fit either my skid loader or my loader. I'm just afraid the 10' would be to big for my NH L175 skid loader. I'm sure the 8' would work for it but them I'm defeating my purpose.
