We occasionally got mail for a neighbor.   Same first name,  same first letter of the last name.   Usually  caught it and put it back in the box.   However,  one time during harvest  I got in a hurry.  Opened the bill from the fuel supplier,  wrote the check so I got my  discount for early payment and that was that.   Over a month later fuel office  calls, they can't figure out where my payment came from.  Went and looked for the receipt... I'd paid for the neighbor's diesel!  They gave me credit and promised they'd not be hard on the neighbor for late payment.    Neighbor got a good laugh out of it.    Some neighbors are just plain nice.
