Breckenridge, MI | So I'm thinking I'd like to try a direct fed microbial like Diamond V XP-DFM or something, but I had some questions.
Most importantly, how do you feed it? We're getting calves in at 200 lbs and they eat a grain/pellet mix for the first 6 weeks and then we transition to a TMR; could I put enough molassess on the feed to get it do bind and mix well?
Secondly, how long would it be beneficial (cost-benefit wise) to feed it? 2 weeks? 4 weeks? The whole 6 weeks they're on this diet?
Lastly, what would I be looking at (roughly) cost-wise?
