Western Nebraska | I started with farmhand feedbox, now have bjm mixer box. thing I miss most is in cold weather. Feedbox with dry hay on bottom does not freeze up, just clear auger out. On mixer box, wet silage is mixed throughout the entire load. Whole load can freeze up overnight. Don't leave wet loads mixed, only mix enough for one feeding/days feeding.
More moving parts. Replaced a mixing auger years ago, $1,600 on my old bjm.
