south east Indiana | You can decrease the amount of butter a tablespoon or two and not pack the brown sugar so tight. That will help make them fatter and not crispy. You can add a bit more flour if the first ones you bake are to flat. I use the recipe off the Nestle choc chip bag, actually have it memorized :)
Depending on what butter / margarine you use that will make a big difference in how they bake and taste. I like real butter or fleichmans margarine or a combination. Some have more oil than others.
I also take them out when just the edges are brown. They keep baking a bit till off the tray and cool.
May need new soda if all the other things don't work for you :) Mine are never as soft as some bought varieties but that is ok with me | |
