SW KS, near Dodge City | I'm guessing that he's afraid that land values will tumble. Coupled with the fact that cashflows are tightening up, and he's basically trying to manage his balance sheet.
Out here in the western areas, ground turns much more often than it does back east, from what I have been told, so buying/selling ground isn't as monumental a decision. If he decides he wants to own ground again, he probably won't have to look all that hard to replace those acres at that point in time. | |
