My crop ins adjuster said he was very busy in Sept measuring 2013 crop guys were carrying forward. In my area (so MN) some of that could be because our crop is below average so there is room. Others may not have needed the cash. I can't relate to that position. Regardless, what price could that have been sold for? The first to experience tough times will be those with 2013, 2014, and 2015 crops to sell at prices around $4/bu. In this area, if you screwed up by not selling 2013 and you didn't produce much 2014, it may not be a happy meeting with the loan officer.


crop ins checks will be large, There's a reason the adjuster had to measure bins, carrying of old crop is nothing new, every year there is old crop carried. the only people I could think of that would carry 2 years worth of crops don't need a loan officer.
