Subject: fertlizer placement



North Carolina
watching the hefty boy tonight they talked about fertlizer placment i know they are from the upermidwest and im from the southeast NC we have broadcast our fertlizer for years but it seem like our yealds are draging behind they talked about placing fertlizer 8 inches deep under corn i just wonder about soybeans im not willing to go to 36 in rows we have been drilling notill but i thought about twin rows 10 or 12 on 36inch centers with fertlizer between the twins has any body tryed this and how deep should the fertlizer be placed for beans for fall application ? thanks DH in NC
