They wean best with their own pasture right across the fence from the moms. and their own feeder there etc....
just slide the creep gate and your done.

they have to be used to going over to their own pasture too for a month or so.
they actuallly gain weight in the afore.

the lock em in a dry lot stuff, sudden shock deal and they'll lose 25 to 50 lbs for a while, then gain that back over time.
