WC Wisconsin | Poke 3 holes into the flat rubber around the nipple with my pocket knife, better chance to let air in no matter how the bottle is placed in the holder. Still get bottles that collapse sometimes. Switched over to all bottles as buckets were causing bloat from time to time. Have never had a calf bloat when drinking from a bottle no matter how large a hole is cut in the middle, which is what JFDFarms is referring to. My understanding is the sucking action forms the esophageal groove to direct the milk into the correct stomach, doesn't matter how fast the calf swallows. | |
