Subject: RE:Question, Wouldn't China ......?

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
China buys, what 70+ mmt of beans per year. When they book beans wouldn't they or their suppliers have hedged any orders complete with currency hedges as well? If I was in the market for 2.5 billion bushel of beans I think I would take possible currency fluctuations into account and prepare for them. I don't know for sure but last summer when a great number of bean sales were booked somebody hedged very substantially about the same time.
In fact I would have booked the shipping and scheduled the deliveries as well. There is simply too much at stake to play games.
