Red Angus running that much over any black equivalent.  Bred Heifers are $3K+, bred cows very close to $3K and pairs are $4K+ both Superior and local barns.  Only places they are cheaper are the non cattle areas.  I'm not too excited about bringing a cheaper one out of say KY for $500 less up to nearly 7K' in November/Dec. 

I've only seen one set of straight herf's sell and they were even higher than their red angus counterparts.
