Well Looks Like John beat me to my post.

CFDR - the central banks printing money to buy bonds are not bonafide players in the bond market. They are not expressing any wisdom with regards to ROI when making a purchase. Their presence in the market means that true market discovery of rates can't be had.

and that's the point.. because the true market rates, priced people that know better and have to give a crap about their ROI, who can't put up money out of thin air for the purchases.... - they know that these skyrocketing govt debts are far riskier and need higher rates.
