Similar to older window motors, we used to scrap out cars and saved all the motors, used on a john blue pump to pull the clutch in and out, it would rachet the slip clutch if you held the switch too long, worked for a long time but eventually wore out the slip clutch, swap in another motor and keep going!

Don once you get into diodes and latching relays I am lost so listen to the others!
