Subject: RE: SOYBEAN Yield tallys - Jsc

Holly Grove Arkansas

U do understand that yield reports are biased significantly high?

1. Farmer with good yield are more likely to report than farmers with poor yields

2. Some people lie about yields. Liars are much more likely to report yields. Lies are useful unless they are told.

As a rule of thumb u can use approx 80% of reported yields. 80% of 58 is 46.4 or a half bushel off USDA latest number. Obviously there is a margin of error and USDA could raise yields somewhat...or lower yields somewhat.
