Wife has a blood sugar checker. I'll check it tonight but I really doubt it. My 19 year old brother is havin same issues. Just tired of stress. Tired of being managed on everything down to where we park a pickup when we are only one in the field.

I'm in my mid fifties now, but my Dad used to be the same way, even down to how I held a wrench.  One day, when I was in my early thirties, I'd had enough. I put the rig in park, told him he was on his own, and down the road I went.

It was the first time I remember Dad apologizing and telling me that he needed to lighten up.

I'm not going to say that it would work for you, but I am going to say that it's probably time to came sort of understanding or to move on.  There are plenty of opportunities in life, believe me.  As soon as I understood that I was going to farm to live, not live to farm.  A town job certainly isn't end of life.  It can be a new beginning, and you could do a little farming on the side.

Well done, my friend. I was a "city" kid when my wife married me, then we had the opportunity to farm with her dad. He decided he was going to teach the city kid how to work. This city kid knew how to work and stick up for himself. We had epic battles, but stuck with each other. As the years went by, my dad told me numerous times how wrong he was, and I did the same. Now I really miss him, he died at 91 three years ago. This thread brought back memories. I too crawled in my pickup and went home one day. Said enough is enough. Changes tunes immediately.
