Queensland, Australia | I'm wanting to buy a rental property in the next year or so if possible. I'll be graduating from college soon (im 21) and have nearly saved enough for a deposit. I'll be probably be looking at moving over to the US once my long term girlfriend is done with physician assistant school over there. So I've been doing a lot of research in the property market over there. I'm pretty amazed by how affordable property is over there and the rent to value ration is pretty high. Over in Australia most rentals wouldn't come close to even covering my mortgage repayments. That being said we have a pretty strong appreciating market to rely on. I know a few guys who have bought houses over there with not much trouble, but I think I'd rather wait till I'm over there permanently. My goal is eventually buy some land but I'll see where life takes me.
