Eddy in TN - 10/23/2014 17:27 I checked everything on the combine again today. No obvious problems such as holes in chaffer or sieves, fan dampner horizontal, fins not loose in chaffer. So I closed the front of the chaffer completely along with the middle. The back is open 1/2. The sieve is WIDE open. Fan is as fast as it will go (1150). Cylinder rpm is 550 and the concave is set on 4. We also replaced the sections in the blade. It was not cutting the beans and that was slowing us down. We are now cutting 50+ bushel beans at 3.4 to 3.7 mph with a 25' 1020. It did a lot better!!!!!! Dealer is coming in the morning to replace a field tracker switch and to also help set the combine. Thanks again!!!! When I get this figured out I will SHUTUP!!!!

Ok, this is not right. PLEASE excuse the nature of the question, but I have to ask it. When you say front section, are you referring to the furthest part toward the front of the combine, or away from the adjuster handles, or are you meaning the section that is closest to the handles is the front section? Sorry, I just had to ask as having the furthest from the handles closed is normal, but the center closed as well is not. If you are getting any crop in the tank with the actual fron and center closed off, there is something really wrong going on here.
