SE ND | I'm under 30, and I feel that one day away from work a week is absolutely necessary. My wife and I decided that we as a family would set aside Sundays as a day of rest. We are social people so we go to church in the morning, eat lunch with our small group , and study the bible after lunch. Don't get me wrong, there are a few Sundays where we decide to just be by ourselves as a family too, but this is how we usually make time for rest. I have neighbors who farm much more than I (5000 -40,000 acres) and they work everyday and they never spend time with their kids. Our best investment is time and energy spent with our kids. My daughter is only a year old, but I can see where she already needs family time.
For me, one day a week to rest makes the rest of the week function smoother and is much more enjoyable.
