prices? Was at West Plains today and thought prices had softened a little since my last time there a few weeks ago. Might have been the difference in cattle but feeder market report said steady to 4.00 lower yesterday. Stock market has had a tough few days and wondering if its affecting cattle.
No. The stock market is in its own computer-generated, high-frequency trading world these days with little connection to reality, IMHO.
Cash feeders will have their own minor ups and downs but reflect real supply and demand reality much closer, again IMHO.
There are seasonal factors to consider in both stocks and cattle.
