Do you think it could be safely done? Tack and cool with a wet rag. You would be welding at the valve stem with the core removed. Seems to me one might notice air blowing out the valve stem you are staring at as the wheel starts to build pressure. We've all removed valve stems on inflated tires and even at 20 psi it's screaming. Hard not to notice. Am I wrong. Lots of things are dangerous.
