I'd tack and cool with a wet rag valve core removed.


Well, yeah...sounds pretty well documented-are you questioning the research & knowledge of Bridgestone Tire? if you know more than they do, go ahead & advocate welding on a rim...as I said below, I'd still be leery of telling somebody it's OK on an open forum...blowing your own ass off is fine if that's what you want to do, go for it...getting somebody else's blown off is something else entirely.

Looks like the OP made the decision not to do it, don't beat it to death...
