Southern Illinois | I guess it really all depends on what kind of rent you're paying. If your cash rent rate was at county average or even slightly above, I think a 10-15% decrease is within reason. Some landlords, however, may have a hard time accepting a 10-15% decrease. A decrease of 15% on $400+ cash rent is going to result in at least $60 per acre less than the previous lease. I would hope most reasonable LL would not have a problem with a $15-$30 per acre reduced cash rent rate, especially if you have a long working relationship with said LL. | |
