Subject: Counterbalance..

Shoot Eastern Kansas is what.. 20% in.. and wet now.. plus some of those early bean's are going straight to on farm storage.. Must be something up because processor bumped their bid by $.40 on Friday.. saw the forecast or something..??  They don't have it posted.. so.. trying to hide it but.. definitely happened (as we sold some.)

If this thing drags out over a couple of months.. we burn through 2.5% of the corn crop per week in the fall.. and more so on the beanies..  Our export program does not have a lot of flexibility for delays.. trains are ordered.. contracts are made.. schedules must be kept... rain or no..

Somehow the shorts will need to cover.. and the longer this drags on.. the harder it will become..

That being said.. the shorts have been correct thus far.. but greed at some point takes over..  he he.. and I'll be waiting when it does.

Pulled the put's on the bottom a couple of weeks ago.. IF we retest.. gonna pull the hedges off and go long the board also..   Still need to wait until we set the insurance price though.. at these prices lot's of people will have claims.

That's why I think possibly we bottom after October.. but.. this weather is throwing a wrench in that plan...???

No doubt some crops will still be in the field come January.. at this pace.  Beans don't winter too well do they..??
