At an auction once and the ringman kept pointing in my direction, taking a bid. After about the fourth or fifth time of pointing at me, I told him loud enough for others to hear that I am not bidding and asked who he was pointing at. He looked around for a few seconds and said that he did not see the bidder anymore. Had to start over on that piece of equipment.
