Subject: RE:There is something satisfying about ......

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
There is something satisfying about the quiet of a team of horses pulling a plow through sod. Just the jingle and creak of the harness, the breathing of the horses, the muffled scrape of the plow through the soil & stones. Would you even know that a plow makes a noise sitting in a tractor seat with the roar of the tractor.
For the first hour or so that is, then it starts to be slow work and the furrows look longer and longer. Back then a good farmer tried to plow at least some ground every month of the year in order to spread out the work and maximize the plowed acres. Now I can moldboard plow more in a day than they could in year easy.
