| lancef53 - 10/11/2014 06:50 I don't think steffes uses a reserve on their consignments around here. You can attend the sale and buy it back at a lower commission than it would be if sold outright, but I have never seen them no sale items at a consignment.
I don't know what they call it but stuff on a Steffes Auction does not always go to a new home.
The same 2377 combine has been on two of their auctions and now the same owner has it listed for sale on Tractor House for much more than the auction market was saying its worth.
First time it was on an internet auction, next time it was on their Ag Iron auction @ Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
Most auctioneers just pull phantom bids out of the sky and put it on a buyer number that doesn't exist.
I guess they think it looks better than just saying it doesn't sell.
