Subject: RE: 6 ton to the acre. Got to be a record

Pasco WA.
Rained on feeder hay that was baled dry so I figured an average of 1700 lbs. 150-160 acre pivots. Farm average was 3.6 tons of poor quality hay on 1st. The heaviest pivot went 4 ton. The weather wouldn't let me cut when it needed to be cut. 3.6 ton/acre may sound like fun but it's not. Took a full 2 weeks to get it dry. I would much rather harvest 2 lighter cuttings of high quality hay.
