BTW the guy who won the Arkansas soybean yield contest @ 112 bushels per acre didn't use a fungicide. That's not to say there is never a call for a fungicide. He said himself that he doesn't hesitate to use a fungicide when one is warranted but scouting showed no disease to spray. Farmers have left tons of money on the table the last few year applying valid products where they aren't needed and using various snake oils that never pay. Eliminating those application won't hurt yield. |
