I purchased seed from Fielder's Choice for several years and was quite satisfied with the performance especially given the good price.l I would discuss my requirements vs their offerings with the fellow on the phone and his recommendations were always fine. Then Monsanto sold it to Hubner and I haven't been back since. I didn't know that Channel was a Monsanto company but there is quite a bit of it being grown here.
So why did Monsanto go to all the trouble of selling an established brand only to start up another one?
Not sure why they got rid of it? Used to buy a lot of seed from there also. Would figure out the hybrid numbers and they were the cheapest place to buy seed. To this day the last bags I bought in 2012 made me more money that any other bag from any other company cost vs. output. Now it's just figuring out the back room seed deals.
