Subject: RE: local elevator calling around for corn?

North East Kansas
Our elevator called us today, also. I told him if they come off their -.045 basis that we would give him some corn. I'm not selling for under $3. Also, corn is coming along great down where I am. It is probably close to 98% harvested, but the crop wasn't there.

Since certain people (not farmers) seem to put faith in test plots being a good indicator on yield, I wonder why my 300 bushel per acre test plot corn couldn't average more than 200 on the whole farm. It is 2/3 irrigated. Just imagine how bad our dry land portion was.
