the US federal budget is short as much as a trillion, or 50% of their revenues, every year. I'm sure Russia will be fine...if they run out of money they can just print more of it. It's been working out great for the US treasury dept
but the reality is that people freeze and die before income shortfalls start pinching, and the EU, Putin, everyone knows that.
