Agreed with everything Mike said. I bought a 4x4 this past winter and have loved it. I'm new to the hay business, had zero previous experience baling, but with the krone my lightest bales have been 2000 lbs- and that was oat/rye grass hay. Alfalfa anywhere from 2100 to 2300lbs. easy to overgross a truck. Mike- one question- after a couple of plugs, the unplugging of the pickup chamber has been done by hand. Is there a clutch or something that needs adjusting?? agree also with 9 mph, but with an 8300, the gear gap is either ~8mph or 10 mph, wish I could get 9.
