I would be safe to say most farmers and their bankers would be more excited about renting the ideal 1000 acres and marketing it verses buying and selling futures for a profit, with no acres to back it up.......Because in a few years the ideal farm will be making you money, and the futures trading probably won't make it a few years. A crop has a few months to be reconciled, but a trading account has to be reconciled every day...:( |
