Subject: We run 4 of the 4X4 Krones

Having baled with Hesston for about 20 yrs, I was a little reluctant to switch to Krone. Having just finished 1st crop, 7,200 bales, I have to say that I am IMPRESSED!
I bought 4 of the Big Pack 12130 which is the 4X4 and attached a PhiBer bale accumulator to each.
These balers have cut our baling time in half and that translates to less fuel used. 4 Balers can bale a pivot and 4 corners, 160 ac. in 1 1/2 hrs. That is one 1st crop. I'm sure that 2nd will be even faster. Baling speed has been about 9 mph. Better have some smooth fields.
Couple of things I like is there is no flywheel shear bolt. Krone also has a system that unplugs if you get a wad in the pickup chamber. Knotters are very similiar to Hesston. All balers come with the Auto lube, grease, not oil. Balers also come with it's own knotter blower and air compressor.
Consturction is superior to Hesston, as they do not cut corners. Yes you will pay alittle more, but the quality is definitely there.
