South Central Kansas, Harper County | Checked some doublecrop soybeans today that had been looking very GOOD with all of our above normal late August moisture we've been having!(I swathed my full season beans as they burnt up earlier, and unfortunately most are still laying in the windrow :-( )But the rain was great for the DC crops in my area. I noticed big holes in the leaves on the bean plants, and half the pods eaten away, and plenty of WORMS. Look like cutworms, armyworms or that type. What would a fellow spray them with before they progress across the whole field(and will it do any good?) I have some acephate I used for some insects in my cotton, would that work on these devils?
thanks,
Jim |
