N FLA | I'm still in awe Mark, that is not yet a 5 month old raised on grass. I'm wondering what that cow could do if I breed her to calve in fall and raise the calf on rye?
I don't know if I sell cows like that for slaughter or breed her back. I pulled the bulls to turn in Jan 1 and setup a traditional cow/calf program. I don't like this summer calving with our resources.
I'll sell the calf in November and have to decide what to do with the cow. She's not bred because I pulled the bulls. | |
