Seaforth, Ontario | I'm not sure of the flight path, but one of two airworthy AVRO Lancasters in the world was on the last leg of its flight from Gander to the Canadian War Heritage Museum at Hamilton Airport today. It was overseas on a UK tour with other WWII aircraft. Expensive trip as an engine failed and had to borrow one to get home; expected bill of $200,000.
If it was the Lancaster, consider yourself fortunate to have witnessed one of the past's epic arircraft. It may not fly many more times. I saw it over Hamilton airport about 10 years ago.
