N FLA | I kind of switched from a weight gain program to a bred cow or cow calf program in about March or April. I'm still not convinced that's the best play for me because my limited buying power goes farther with $500 cows than it does $1300 cows and my feed costs are minimal.
However, these are all calves born here this year. My gut tells me to sell those born prior to July and try to buy bred cows, keep those born in August and later graze cover crop as pairs until May. Although its possible I could sell those pairs in 60 days and buy 2 heavy breeds.
Anyway. Just some calves that were born and raised here. I might keep the simmental heifer.
