Subject: RE: kart racing farmer

German Valley, IL
the box stock honda that i am setting up for my son to run box stock jr will run 39 seconds on the half mile road course at our local track so that is an average speed of 46 mph including the corners , would have to guess the top speed at that track in jr box stock would be in the low to mid 50's ... the Yamaha classes that i ran a lot of years and piston port classes that were even faster ran 33 second laps so and average speed of almost 15 mph and top speeds well into the 60's ... ran at bigger faster tracks where we ran up to 90 mph and ran an occasional enduro race where the standard sprint karts ran 100 plus mph

here is the web site for our home track that i started racing on in 79 or 80 (cant remember for sure ) and dad started in 62 i think
