You will like the winter rye for early grazing next spring. I planted some winter rye into my sudangrass field this afternoon. You won't even need to beg your son to use the ZRX roller toolbar next spring. You have plenty of cows and a small enough piece of rye that they will eat it down to about 2" tall. If there is enough to roll then you let it go to waste.
