Subject: Hay baling raking question

S.E. Iowa
Cut about 35 acres of clover alfalfa hay Tuesday, weather have been beautiful not even any dew in the mornings. Checked it tonight should go tomorrow easy. It was a very heavy crop. Was wondering if I could just bale the swaths left by the mower conditioner and skip raking. 2 or 3 together. 14 ft moco leaves a swath equal to the width of my mega wide 567 JD baler. Had to do about 2 acres ahead of a rain first cutting so I know the baler will clean the field as well or better than raking and baling. Also seems we don't loose as many leaves going from swath to bale. I know its not the way most people would do it but is there a real reason not to. TIA
