| Mozilla's Thunderbird is the only program worth considering IMO, but why wouldn't you use an email server and online web page client such as Google's gmail.com or Microsoft's outlook.com? Both offer huge advantages over email programs, such duplicating and archiving your emails for you, offering clients for computers, tablets or phones, the latest security updates, spam filtering, gigabytes of free space in the "Cloud" so you can store all your documents there, share them, and access them from other devices, online word processors, spreadsheets, etc. They both have 24/7/365 availability, usually a better ratio than your own desktop or laptop computers, which can be blocked by updates, bugs or CPU-intensive tasks and other mechanical/electrical/electronical/moon phase troubles. | |
