Sounds like throwing good money after bad. Have you looked at a plan includin buying price and selling price. You're in the east where weight gain is poorly rewarded. Ex. Buy 300#@$3, sell 700# @$1.70. Then pay a commission on sell. That's how it is here and I don't think Pennsylvania is much different. But you tell me the numbers for your locale.

I would look at buying thin cows. Feeding 60-90 days and selling direct. Just an idea if you have to do something. I had 8000 bushels of corn and sold it straight off the combine. So I know what I would do.
