Totally agreed, Ross- just pointing out that corn prices are not necessarily in lock-step with pork profits. Corn prices went in the crapper for awhile during 2009 too, and the hog guys weren't exactly doing the best with that either....
It wasn't the sole problem by any means but the quality of the 2009 corn sucked, feed efficiency and growth rate was absolutely terrible feeding that corn.
I sure hope this years is better, I think it will be but this corn crop isn't all done yet.
