Why not? The way inputs are set they expect farmers too loose money just so they can make money. It works both ways.
Why is it that every single sector of ag is entitled to expect a profit but the guys that make all those profits possible
(the farmers
) are supposed to just shut up and take what they can get. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe for just one year farmers should be allowed to set the prices of seed, chemical, and fertlizer. Let the industry know how farmer has to do it for once.
